Nokia announces Easy Meet for sharing content on-line
With an internet browser, a user of Nokia's just announced Easy Meet can set up a meeting in a virtual conference room and show and exchange data with the participants. With no software to download, a person wishing to call a meeting simply uses the browser on his PC or his mobile phone to head to the Easy Meet site (IE6 is not supported). Email or SMS messages are sent to co-workers who then need just a single click to view the content being sent out by the host via his own device or remote servers. With the service, those on the go with a cellphone will be able to participate at a regularly scheduled meeting, or one called at the last second. Among the features offered is a white board for writing out formulas or ideas, minutes of the meeting for keeping a record of what has been discussed, chat to enable communication among meeting participants, and file sharing (PPT, JPEG and PNG) so that all those in 'attendance' can have the same information. Those interested in the service can visit easymeet.nokia.com.
