Nokia and Microsoft invite press for joint event on September 5th, new Lumias are coming
Nokia and Microsoft have just sent out invitations for a joint event on September 5th, and all clues point to the first Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices. The event will be held in New York City, so we expect there will be at least some devices heading for the US market.
So far, we've heard rumors about a mysterious device under the codename Nokia Phi, that's supposed to be the first Nokia Windows Phone 8 handset. It's expected to sport a design similar to the one on the Lumia 900 with an equally sized 4.3-inch screen, but with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and expandable memory via microSD.
Things are starting to really heat up – in less than two weeks Samsung is bringing the Galaxy Note II, then Nokia is expected to show its new Lumias and on September 12th the next iPhone is coming. What more could you ask for? Stay tuned to not miss any of the fun.
