Nokia Surge coming to AT&T on July 19; get ready, set, socialize!
Starting July 19, fans of social networks will have one more reason to live, as this is when AT&T releases the Nokia Surge (previously known as the Mako and the 6790). We already know what to expect, since we have its specs on a leaked sheet and the handset itself in a hands-on video. You’ll be able to reach all your online buddies using the Surge if willing to shell out $79.99, with a two-year contract and after $50 mail-in rebate. However, to get the rebate you will have to subscribe for either $39.99 monthly voice plan or $30.00 data plan at least.
Other goodies of this side-sliding S60 socializer (besides a very interesting design) include a 2-megapixel camera and the JuiceCaster app, which will allow you to upload videos and pictures to popular sites like Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and Flickr. Online Flash content (YouTube videos) will also be accessible, thanks to the Surge built-in support.
