Nokia N86 8MP officially at the MWC
Good news coming for the photographers! Nokia has officially announced its first8-megapixel camera phone at the MWC. Users will be able to take pictures thanks to the wide-angle Carl Zeiss Tessar optics, which Nokia has combined with the world's first in a mobile phone variable aperture. Although being equipped with only with a dual LED flash, the manufacturer claims that the 3rd generation of this technology is able to illuminate objects in distance of up to 3.5 meters. The device is said to be optimized for both video and still imaging. The maximum resolution of the camera’s video capturing capabilities is VGA (640x480) at up to 30 fps, while users will be able to take images with a resolution of up to 3280x2464 pixels. After storing your works of art on the 8 GB of internal memory, you will then be able to view them on the 2.6-inch OLED display with QVGA resolution.

With the Nokia N86 8MP, users will be able to instantly geotag their photos and upload them to sites like Ovi Share and Flickr. In addition, the new device comes preloaded with the latest versions of Nokia Maps and Ovi Integration, a built-in compass and an integrated 3-month license for full voice pedestrian navigation.

For entertainment, the N86 8MP also has a nice set of features prepared. It will be able to deliver up to 25 hours of music playback, which may be listened to with the new Nokia Bluetooth Headset BH-214 that has also been announced today. People will also have the chance to browse over millions of tracks, found on the Nokia Music Store, and play some of the coolest N-Gage games.

The Nokia N86 8MP will be shipping in this year’s second quarter and will be offered at an estimated retail price of $474 (EUR 375) before taxes and subsidies.
