Nokia Lumia-Your Wish is My App gets renewed for another season on Indian television

The reality show Nokia Lumia- Your Wish is My App, has been renewed for a second season on Indian television. The show presents app ideas from regular everyday people. The first season saw contestants limited to those living in India, but the new season will feature people from all over the world who have the next big app idea for Windows Phone.

Last year, the show received 38,000 ideas, and this year Nokia is expected to look at 50,000 submissions. Ideas can be submitted by text, phone call, social media and through live events held at universities and colleges in the country. From that huge pile of apps, Nokia will trim it down to 30 that will compete for the grand prize of 1 million Indian Rupees ($16,000 USD) over 9 thrill packed, nail biting episodes.

The top 4000 app ideas will be made available to developers to turn into real life apps. In addition, the top ideas will receive help from Nokia in the form of technical and design support.
