Pre-orders of the Nokia Lumia 920 lead the French sales charts
Earlier on Tuesday, we told you how pre-orders for the
Nokia Lumia 920 have been
so strong in Italy that the units held aside for pre-order have been sold out. The momentum for the flagship Windows Phone 8 model remains so strong that in France, pre-orders for the phone place it on
top of the PhoneHouse top 50 sales list. Right behind the Nokia Lumia 920 is the 16GB
Apple iPhone 5. The PhoneHouse list measures sales from October 8th through the 14th.
In France, the Nokia Lumia 920 can be reserved for 100 EUR ($130.43 USD) and will sell for 649.90 EUR ($850.90 USD). It is available in black only for pre-orders. Ironically, limiting the color choice probably helped concentrate all of the pre-orders for the phone into the one black device. It also is possible that some potential purchasers of the handset are holding off, waiting for the other color variants to be available. The Nokia Lumia 920 is expected to be
released at the end of this month or early next month. In the U.S., it is
an exclusive at AT&T.
Following the Nokia Lumia 920 and the 16 GB Apple iPhone 5, the third top seller on the PhoneHouse list is the entry-level
LG Optimus L3 in black. That model is followed by the
Sony Xperia U in black, the
LG Optimus L5 in black and the
Samsung Galaxy Ace Hugo Boss model.
