Nokia Lumia 735 shows up in Ireland, offered by two carriers
If everyone wasn't bummed out from the post-holiday blues and upset about the extra 10 pounds they've packed on since November, we'd say something clever about the Nokia Lumia 735 showing up in Ireland and not the U.S. We might have gone for laughs by saying that it's the luck of the Irish that brought the new phone to not one, but two carriers in the country. And then we would have pointed out that recent events make it appear as though the Lumia 735 will not launch in the states.

But instead, we will merely point out that the Nokia Lumia 735 was supposed to be headed to Verizon and Sprint. Instead, Microsoft has removed the phone from its U.S. website. The model's claim to fame is the 5MP "selfie" camera on the front of the device. The rest of the specs include a 4.7-inch 720 x 1280 resolution screen, with a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 400 driving the handset. 1GB of RAM is on board along with 8GB of native storage. If more memory is needed, there is a 128GB capacity microSD slot available. In addition to the "selfie"-styled front-facing camera, a 6.7MP snapper adorns the back of the phone. A 2200mAh battery powers up the whole shebang.

In Ireland, the Nokia Lumia 735 has been launched for carriers eMobile Ireland and Meteor Mobile. On eMobile, the phone is available in black only, priced at the equivalent of $240 USD with a pre-paid plan. And in case you were wondering, the only differences between the Nokia Lumia 735 and the Nokia Lumia 730 is that the latter has dual SIM capabilities, while the latter offers LTE connectivity.
