Nokia Camera updated with a slew of new features – Living Images, continuous autofocus, and more
Microsoft just pushed an update to Nokia Camera, which brings a number of new photography-centric features to the app, most of which come straight from the beta version of the app. But hold your horses, Nokia Lumia devotees! Unfortunately, most of the new features will only land on select Lumia devices - the Nokia Lumia 930, the Lumia 1520, and the Lumia Icon, to be exact. On top of it all, the latter have to be updated with the Nokia Lumia Cyan software update, which consists of Windows Phone 8.1 plus several Nokia-specific firmware updates.
Living Images is one of the exclusive features for the devices you mentioned above. You might recall that we reported about it several months ago, when it was demonstrated at Microsoft's Build 2014 conference. What Living Images does is pretty simple, yet equally impressive – whenever you open the camera app and aim your phone's camera towards something that you want to take picture of, Living Images captures a brief video right before and after you press the shutter button.
