The first Nokia-branded flagship smartphone launched by HMD was introduced this week and it's already available for pre-order in some European countries. The good news is the Nokia 8 will not be as expensive (not that it's too expensive, on the contrary) as HMD announced during the launch event.

Although HMD stated that Nokia 8 will be available for purchase in Europe for around €600, many retailers across the continent are selling the smartphone for less. For example, German carriers O2 and Mobilcom Debitel offer the Nokia 8 for just €577 and €579, respectively.

On top of that, customers who pre-order the flagship via O2 will also receive a free Nokia Steel smartwatch, which usually retails for €129.95.

Another country where you may pre-order the Nokia 8 for less than the suggested retail price is Russia. Megafon has just opened pre-orders for the smartphone and allows customers to reserve one for only €575 outright.

Even though the discount might not seem that high, it will most certainly increase sales of the smartphone, at least in the first few weeks. Do you plan on getting the new Nokia 8 when it becomes available in your country?
