Nokia 8.1 with 6/128GB configuration to arrive in January 2019
Despite its price of €399 in Europe, the Nokia 8.1 is nothing short of impressive. It features a large 6.2-inch display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 processor, and even a dual-camera setup complete with ZEISS branding. Pretty soon, though, a slightly more impressive version will be available to purchase.
At the moment, those interested in the Nokia 8.1 can acquire the device in just one storage configuration that offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage – a pretty average setup by today’s standards. But following in the footsteps of the China-only Nokia X7, HMD Global has now revealed that a model with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage is just around the corner.

The new configuration will go on sale in January 2019 and will be available in only select markets – the company is yet to specify which ones. Unfortunately, at this moment in time, the markup that associated with the new storage configuration remains unclear.
In addition to these 4/64GB and 6/128GB configurations, China’s Nokia X7 is also available with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. However, HMD Global did confirm that it currently has no plans to release such a model internationally as the Nokia 8.1
