Android P Beta arrives on the Nokia 7 Plus and more in China
Although the Android P Beta has been available for Nokia 7 Plus users across the globe for a while now, the big exception to this has been China, where consumers have been unable to gain access to the new software, something that has just changed.
Thanks to Nokia’s Beta Labs in China, a limited number of Nokia 7 Plus users who signed up for the beta program between June 21 and June 24 will now be gaining access to the new software. However, this is not all. In fact, it turns out that these registrations were open to other Nokia smartphone users, with Nokia Labs now confirming that the Android P Beta will also be available on the Nokia 6.1, Nokia 7, and Nokia 8 Sirocco in China.
Presently, it’s unclear when exactly the updates will begin rolling out to the four smartphones, but Nokia has confirmed that the beta program is part of a long-term strategy and has also warned users to expect bugs in the software when the updates eventually arrive. Nevertheless, it still remains unclear if HMD Global has plans to bring the Android P beta to the international variants of the Nokia 6.1, and Nokia 8 Sirocco.
