Nokia 5800 XpressMusic now with working 3G in the U.S.
According to Nokia, the isolated issue with 5800 XpressMusic’s 3G in the U.S. is now fixed, but let us follow the whole story from the very beginning. Shortly after the handset had finally been released in the United States, users have complained of a problem – they couldn’t use 3G and as a result, the stores have had the devices pulled. This turned out to be an isolated case, concerning New York and Chicago. Nokia did not wait to see what would happen, but reacted on time and has now announced that the issue has been fixed. It seems that is has been caused by a “configuration change” in the North American variant. The revised units will be available soon, and the users that have bought the problematic version can call Nokia Customer Care or go to the nearest flagship store to have it fixed.
