HMD confirms Nokia 3.1 lands in the U.S. on July 2 at Amazon and Best Buy
One of the newest Android smartphones unveiled by HMD Global, the Nokia 3.1 popped up at Amazon earlier this month. Today, the Finnish company confirmed the smartphone will be available for purchase in the United States starting July 2. Two major retailers will sell the affordable smartphone next month: Amazon and Best Buy.
According to HMD, the Nokia 3.1 will be available for purchase from Amazon and Best Buy for $159 (not including tax). Customers will be able to choose from three color options: Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome, and White/Iron.
Nokia 3.1 runs Google's Android One, which means it offers a pure Android experience. As far as the specs go, the affordable smartphone packs an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor, 2GB RAM, and 16GB expandable storage. Also, the smartphone sports a 5.2-inch HD+ display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a secondary 8-megapixel camera for selfie, and a 2,990 mAh battery.
When it comes to looks, Nokia 3.1 doesn't seem to disappoint, as the smartphone features a sophisticated aluminum design. HMD's handset does seem like a decent smartphone on paper, but we can't wait to see how well it performs in real life.
