Despite a decent alternatives that are currently available to US consumers, those who still desire for the original Google phone may be surprised to see what greets them when they head on over to Google's phone store. From the looks of it right now, it's currently unavailable for customers looking to sit pretty with a subsidized unit for T-Mobile. It remains unclear if this may hint to the beginning of Google's full stoppage in selling the phone directly or if it is merely just a temporary shortage. We've begun to see how some retail stores across the country, like Cincinnati Bell, start to sell the handset directly. If it does turn out to signal the demise of Google's phone sale process, it would go to show how ingrained the process of shopping for a phone at a retail location is for most consumers.
