The HTC built Nexus 9 was supposed to be available for purchase in India on November 12th, according to the Google Play Store. That date came and went without the slate getting released. But a quick look at the Zauba website shows that the tablet has recently been shipped into the country, possibly heralding an imminent release of the stock Android tablet.
Zauba, which tracks India's imports and exports, shows that on November 15th, 2000 units of the Nexus 9 were imported. The value of the shipment was the equivalent of $705,000 USD, or $352.44 for each unit. The day before, 10 units had been shipped into India, although those tablets were specifically earmarked for testing, according to the listing.
Surely more stock of the Nexus 9 will be shipped to the country prior to the launch. The 16GB Nexus 9 is priced at $468.47 USD, while the 32GB model with LTE connectivity will go for $727.83 USD. The device will be available in Indigo Black and Lunar White.
