When Google first announced the Nexus 4, it also showed off the Wireless Charging Orb as well, which Matias Duarte seemed to have designed by repurposing his old work on the Palm Touchstone. The trouble was that there was no indication given on when the induction charging scan would be released. Well, word out of Sweden makes it look like the Orb may be coming next month.
The info comes from a product listing at Dustin Home, which says the Charging Orb will be available February 12th, 2013, and will cost 599 krona ($99). Of course, without official word from Google, this kind of listing doesn't mean a lot, and we're also really hoping that price tag is including the European price bump that comes on a lot of electronics.
The timing on the listing is a bit strange though. The launch has already missed CES, February 12th would be two weeks before MWC, and 3 months before Google I/O. Google doesn't need to have a big conference in order to launch the Orb, but that is the way these things tend to go.
