Newly announced LG K7 to be sold by Boost Mobile as the LG Tribute 5
Earlier today, we told you about the two new K Series handsets introduced by LG, the LG K10 and the LG K7. We have just heard that the latter will be available in the U.S. from pre-paid carrier Boost Mobile. But instead of using the K7 name, the handset will be offered as the LG Tribute 5. The number alludes to the 5-inch screen that the unit sports.
The 5-inch screen on the LG Tribute 5 will feature a 480 x 854 resolution. This model will be powered by a quad-core 1.1GHz CPU. At this stage, we are not sure if this will be the model with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, or 1GB of RAM with 8GB of native memory. There are also two variants with the camera. One model will have an 8MP rear-facing snapper, while the other model offers a 5MP camera on back. In both cases, the front-facing shooter will weigh in at 5MP. A 2125mAh battery keeps the lights on, and the handset will be available in Titan.
So far, there is no word on pricing. While no precise launch date was announced, Boost should be offering the phone sometime in the current quarter.
