New update rolling out to Sony Xperia X, see what's included

Sony has released a new update for one of its 2016 mid-range devices - the Xperia X. The new patch weighs in at 92.8MB and is currently being rolled out to Xperia X variants with a single SIM slot, although it shouldn't take long before it becomes available for the dual-SIM models.

It seems that the software upgrade only contains the Android security patch for the month of July and should bump the build number to 34.3.A.0.206. Still, it's great to see Sony implementing the latest security measures in a timely manner, given the fact that Google officially released the patch only a few days ago.

When you get a notification for the software upgrade on your handset, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding. If you haven't received one already, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About Device > Software Updates.
