New pictures confirm a metal build and fingerprint scanner for the Meizu MX5
With the Meizu MX5 expected to be unveiled at the end of this month, every day seems to bring us more news about the handset. Today, a number of images have leaked, showing the metal shell allegedly earmarked for the device. This confirms earlier reports that the MX5 would feature an all-metal build. The pictures also show an oval cutout exactly where a home button would be placed. We expect that this button will be embedded with a fingerprint scanner.
The Meizu MX5 is expected to offer a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920. The MediaTek MT-6795T SoC is under the hood, which contains a true octa-core CPU and the PowerVR G6200 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside. While the amount of internal storage is not known, it will be expandable thanks to the included 128GB capacity microSD slot. A 20MP rear camera is on board, employing a Sony sensor, and a 3150mAh battery keeps the lights on.
