New iPhone to come in 6 different variations?
The keynote speech at Apple's annual WWDC has been the place where iPhone announcements have been made. And as we get closer and closer to this year's speech on June 8th, more and more rumors start spreading about new iPhone variations. The latest comes from iLounge where they say they've been told that there will be 6 different variations of Apple's touchscreen phone that will be made public at the conference. There will be two different memory equipped models (16 GB and 32 GB?) each for the 3G network, enhanced 3G network (3.5G/3.75G) and a version for mainland China. Each of the three versions are designed to fit the network capabilities of a specific country. The buyer will simply be offered the iPhone model that fits the country he lives in. The updated handset is expected to have a matte back made of plastic that will be less suspectible to scratches. The size and design will be pretty much the same as the current iPhone with the same consumer options as to color.
