Amazing to say the least, but considering that it has been on the market for more than half a year now, it’s seemingly impressive to find the Dell Venue Pro still on top of its game as being one of the premier Windows Phone 7 devices on the market.
Thankfully, there is still plenty of love being given to the portrait QWERTY sliding handset – especially when it was marred by some issues early on in its life. Specifically, it was announced by Dell yesterday that they are beginning to send out an updated firmware to the handset that addresses some nagging issues. With firmware 2.12, it fortunately fixes the handset’s random reboots and inconsistent Wi-Fi performance that often stops working completely.
Right now, the unlocked version of the handset is the first to be targeted, with T-Mobile’s specific version coming up next week – however, there is no exact word if AT&T’s version is going to be getting it.
