Navigon MobileNavigator app will also support iOS 4's new multi-tasking function
With time winding down to the bitter end, it looks like the Navigon MobileNavigator app for the iPhone is joining the crew of other GPS assisted apps that will be enabled for the iPhone 4's multi-tasking functionality. It was also reported last week that TomTom would be doing the same, but Navigon's announcement is accompanied with a nice video demonstration of it in action. So if you've been using the popular turn-by-turn GPS application on your iPhone, you'll be happy to know it'll be ready for your multi-tasking needs when iOS 4 is made available later today. The video shows how the application is still able to announce voice directions faintly in the background while making a phone call. However, it doesn't clearly show if the app is able to get back into map view while you're in the middle of a phone call – we'll see shortly though if it can.
