NVIDIA shows off Android Ice Cream Sandwich running on an Asus Transformer Prime
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has been available to developers for several days now, and the guys at NVIDIA have decided to show off the awesomeness of the platform by treating us to this neat, albeit somewhat short, video. And, of course, what better device could NVIDIA pick for the purpose than the Asus Transformer Prime – the upcoming 10.1-inch Android tablet powered by NVIDIA's very own Tegra 3 quad-core chip?
Several new Ice Cream Sandwich features are highlighted in the first part of the video, but the rest is just displaying the potential of the new chip when teamed up with Google's platform. Flawless is the term NVIDIA uses to describe the way 1080p plays on the tablet, and the Riptide video game, which is optimized for the Tegra 3, runs as smooth as silk with plenty of eye-candy in tow.
By the way, if you are interested in the Asus Transformer Prime, the tablet is already available for pre-order and is expected to start shipping soon. However, it will ship with Honeycomb out of the box, but an update to Ice Cream Sandwich is promised to be released by the end of the year. Feel free to check out the video below, and do not hesitate sharing your thoughts with us in the comments.
