NVIDIA launches Tegra Zone web portal, giving away sweet prizes
Those who have an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chipset beating under the hood of their Android-powered smartphone or tablet will surely love the news that we are about to bring. The company has flipped the switch of the Tegra Zone web portal, which is exclusively dedicated to the popular system-on-a-chip and is full of information about the games optimized to run on it.
However, the Tegra Zone web site will not be merely a place to browse game titles as NVIDIA is trying to build a full-fledged online community here. Gamers are provided with discussion boards where they can bring up all the hottest gaming-related topics, and developers can join the fun by registering with Join In – NVIDIA's very own section for developers wanting to build Tegra-optimized games.
This is not all the good news that we have as the Tegra Zone app for Android has not been overlooked. Some of the games listed there now have a demo version, which can give a gamer a taste of the title without the need to purchase its full version. In addition, the app now gives access to users from Japan, the UK and India.
To top everything off, NVIDIA will be giving away five Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablets. All you need to do in order to grab one is to register at the Tegra Zone web site. Five lucky winners will be drawn on September 25 and another 15 participants will walk away with a sweet NVIDIA t-shirt.
