Motorola's after-holiday sale takes $100 off the Moto Z2 Play, $50 off the Moto X4, and more
Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean that the discounts have ended. Motorola is taking $100 off the price of the unlocked Moto Z2 Play on the company's website. The handset, offering 64GB of native storage, can be purchased for $399 in dark grey or gold. The device carries a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Under the hood is the Snapdragon 626 chipset with an octa-core 2.2 GHz CPU and the Adreno 506 GPU. 4GB of RAM is inside. Those requiring additional storage can take advantage of the 2TB capacity microSD slot.

The 12MP camera on back is equipped with an aperture of f/1.7. In front, the phone has a 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. The unit is protected from light rain and small spills thanks to the application of P2i's nanocoating. A 3000mAh battery keeps the lights on, and Android Nougat is pre-installed. We will see the phone updated to Android Oreo fairly shortly.

In addition to the Moto Z2 Play, Motorola has a deal on the Moto X4. Normally $399.99, the price has been reduced by $50 to $349.99.  The model comes with a 5.2-inch LCD display carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. The Snapdragon 630 chipset powers the model with a 2.2GHz octa-core CPU and the Adreno 508 GPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of native storage. A dual camera setup is on back (12MP + 8MP) and a 16MP selfie snapper handles video calls and selfies. Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh battery, and the phone has just been updated to Android 8.0. Unlike the Moto Z2 Play, this handset has an IP certification rating of IP68. That means the Moto X4 can be submerged in nearly 5 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes, and survive unscathed.

Motorola is also discounting the Moto G5 Plus. The 32GB model is reduced by $20 to $209. The 64GB model is $40 off at $259. This handset comes with a 5.2-inch LCD panel carrying a 1080 x 1920 resolution. Powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset, the Moto G5 Plus has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The camera combo weighs in from back to front at 12MP (f/1.7 aperture) and 5MP, respectively. Keeping the lights on is a 3000mAh battery, and Android Nougat is pre-installed. Yes, there is a fingerprint scanner under the home button, and the phone is protected from light rain and spills.
