It may not be a surprise, but Motorola is letting Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid owners that an Android 8.0 Oreo update will come their way very soon.
Apparently, Motorola left a message to owners of these smartphones letting them know that they are “planning an Android 8.0 Oreo update” for their devices. Motorola also says that “it may take a while, so check back in a few weeks.” You can find the message in the phone's Settings menu when you check for an update.
Motorola previously confirmed the Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid will be updated to Android Oreo, but the US company didn't provide any ETA for its release.
Oreo will probably be the last major Android update these two smartphones will receive, but that's still great considering they were launched back in 2016. Hopefully, Motorola will release the update by the end of the month, as the message suggests.
