Moto Z3 Play may nix the audio jack
The standard audio jack is going the way of the northern white rhino, and the latest case maker renders of a supposed Motorola Moto Z3 Play come to prove that trend. While the Z2 Play, released last year, still carries one, despite its ultra-slender sub-6mm frame, the bottom part of the wrapper you see here, has no cutout for the jack.
It only has what it looks like an opening to accommodate a USB-C port, and that's that. Granted, there is one visible at the top part of the case, but it's too small to be a 3.5mm audio port, and is rather there for a top microphone, probably, with the second mic opening at the right bottom part of the rear.
As for the rest of the design of the eventual Z3 Play, Moto is probably sticking with its signature dual camera housed in a circle, but introducing the trendy tall and narrow display format with minimal amounts of bezel surrounding it. Last year, the Z2 Play was released in the beginning of the summer, and we are still spring, so there is time for a purported Z3 Play to leak with all its specs and wonders in the next two months or so.
