Not too long ago, we reported about the
portrait QWERTY Motorola XT316 launching in China first, with its arrival in other markets around the world some time later on. Well, we’re finally seeing the handset being launched outside of mainland China for the very first time!
This time around, it’s debuting in
Hong Kong for the affordable price tag of HK$ 1,688, which converts over to an impressive
$217 (€151). Also, we find the Android 2.2 Froyo powered smartphone flaunting a slightly different new
white color scheme as well – as opposed to the black one we saw a couple weeks ago. For the price, you get a handset that features a 2.8” QVGA display, 3-megapixel camera, 256 RAM, 512 ROM, 1,390 mAh battery, quad-band GSM, dual-band 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headset jack, and a microSD card slot.
Interestingly enough this QWERTY packing handset offers a hint of personalization with its interchangeable fashion jackets. Still, we’re curious to know when it’ll hit the European market, and possibly
North America as well.
