Motorola XOOM's price in the UK is chopped down more to $531 (£330)
As we continue to see more Honeycomb flavored tablets hitting the market, there’s no denying that the forefather of them all, the Motorola XOOM, is increasingly being pushed out of relevance. However, in its bid to stay afloat amongst the masses, we’ve seen its priced dropped over the course of its lifetime to adapt to the market changes.
Well, it’s getting yet another price drop over in the UK, where it was flaunting a sub-£400 price back in July. This time around, Dixons is currently selling the Wi-Fi only Motorola XOOM for the decent price of £329.99 ($531). Meanwhile, the 3G enabled version of the tablet is going for £399.99 ($650).
At this point, the price drops are all warranted seeing that retailers are going to be expecting new inventory for the fall season. Still, it might be hard for consumers to side with it because the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 is priced not too far at £370. Nevertheless, we’re sure to see more price drops in the coming weeks for the Honeycomb tablet that started it all.
