The Motorola One Macro might be announced next week
The Motorola One Macro recently leaked pretty extensively and now it seems as though an official announcement could be just around the corner.
Speaking to 91Mobiles, one “trusted industry source” has revealed Motorola’s planning a One Macro debut in India as soon as next week. The person in question didn’t specify the date but Motorola typically announces its phones on Thursdays, therefore making an introduction on October 10 pretty likely.
In addition to India, the Motorola One Macro will presumably be sold in Latin America and a long list of European countries. However, a US release does seem pretty unlikely at this stage considering Motorola’s simplified portfolio in the market which includes just one Motorola One-branded phone out of the three that have been launched so far this year.
Regarding specs and features, recent leaks suggest the One Macro will arrive powered by MediaTek’s Helio P60. This chip is on par with the Snapdragon 660 which can be found in the recently released Nokia 7.2. A minimum of 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage should accompany it. Giving the phone its name will be a 2-megapixel macro camera on the rear that's accompanied by a 13-megapixel main sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Also part of the rear camera setup is an LED flash and what’s understood to be a laser autofocus system.

Lastly, Motorola’s next phone will feature a notched display up front and Android 9 Pie straight out of the box. But much like the Motorola One Zoom, it’s not expected to launch as part of the Android One family.
