Motorola Olympus MB860 scores the hat trick of certifications
Earlier today, we reported that the dual-core Tegra 2 powered Android device that was called the Motorola Terminator, or the DROID T2, is actually the Motorola Olympus MB860 and is heading for a potential launch on AT&T. And as if to back up this story, the handset has scored a certification hat trick by getting green lights from the Bluetooth SIG and the Wi-Fi Alliance and had previously been cleared by the UPnP forum.
Of course, with a bombshell device like the Olympus is expected to be, nothing is ever certain until it is introduced. While the sites all list the model as being a smartphone and not a tablet, the Bluetooth SIG changed the name of the unit to BT0001, suggesting that Motorola would like to keep a high layer of secrecy surrounding this phone, which is said to be the personal pet project of Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha.
