The Motorola Moto G is already available at some U.K. brick and mortar stores
On Wednesday, Motorola took the wraps off of the Motorola Moto G, a low-priced value handset that resembles the Motorola Moto X. Just two days later, the phone has already been spotted in some retail locations overseas. For example, the device is already on the shelves at U.K. retailer Phones 4U. The retailer is throwing in a free white backing for the device that can be used to replace the black one that the phone ships with. That is for web orders only. The removable back cover (called a shell) can be replaced with one of 19 different shells depending on your mood. A release date for the replacement shells is unknown.
Other stores in the U.K. are said to also have the phone in stock, while customers in Germany must order it online. The Moto G will be offered in Canada later this month priced at $200 USD for the 8GB model while the handset will be coming to America in January. In the states, it will be priced at $179 for the 8GB model and $199 for the 16GB variant. 65GB of free cloud storage from Google Drive is included with the phone.
If you live in the U.K. and don't want to wait for the device to ship, you might check with some of the big name phone retailers like Phones 4U and Carphone Warehouse to see if the closest store near you has the Moto G on its shelves.
