Motorola Moto E now comes with two free shells (US only)

Motorola’s Moto E is definitely not a device for those who want the latest and greatest specs, but it remains a very solid offering for anyone looking to purchase a cheap, yet well-made smartphone.

Right now, you can buy an unlocked Moto E in the US for $119.99, and Motorola is letting you get two free shells (normally $14.99 each) alongside it. To benefit from the deal, you have to visit Motorola’s US online shop, and separately add each product to the cart. As you can see in the screenshot above, the $29.98 discount for the shells will appear before you checkout.

We really liked the Moto E when we reviewed it - but, once again, this is not a handset for everyone. Its main features include a 4.3-inch display with 540 x 960 pixels, splash-resistant coating, a dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and expandable internal memory. Currently running Android 4.4 KitKat, the Moto E should be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop in the coming months.

A successor to the Moto E is expected to be released later this year, though for now there’s no official confirmation on this.
