One of the biggest mistakes you can make when shopping for anything is missing out on a great product because it has not received as much media hype as it deserves. In a world where Apple, Samsung, and lately Google, are the go-to choices for flagship shoppers, it's easy to overlook a premium phone like the Motorola Edge Plus 2023. Now that the phone is on sale, it'd be remiss of us to not recommend it.
The Motorola Edge Plus 2023 is easily one of the best premium phones of the year. It might not be the absolute best (what does that mean, anyway?) but it's surely one of the company's best high-end phones in recent times.
The Edge Plus 2023 won't let you down in any department. It has a huge 6.67-inch display, but thanks to the curved edges, it doesn't feel massive in hand. The display has an industry-leading refresh rate of 165Hz for silky-smooth visuals.
It's powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and handles everything without a hitch. There's only one variant available and it has 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It retails for $799.99 but Best Buy has marked the price down by $100 and is selling the phone for $699.99.
For reference, the 512GB Google Pixel 8 Pro retails for $1,179, the 512GB Galaxy S23 Plus costs $1,119.99, and the 512GB iPhone 15 Pro will set you back $1,299.
So, at the moment, the Edge Plus is around half the price of competing phones that are only marginally better at best.
The phone has a huge 5,100mAh battery and will easily last you a full day of heavy use. It supports 68W charging and only needs 30 minutes for a full recharge.
It features a solid camera setup with a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP ultrawide snapper, and a 12MP telephoto module with 2x zoom. Even in challenging conditions, it churns out impressive images and can even shoot 8K videos.
I'll go so far as to say this phone would be more popular if it came from the likes of Apple, Samsung, or Google. Grab it if you want a solid Android flagship without breaking the bank.
