Motorola DROID Terminator expected to be Android Gingerbread flagship
We recently reported that a timely conversation with Sanjay Jha, Motorola Mobility's CEO, allowed the guys at Android and Me to confirm the existence of a dual-core Tegra 2 equipped Motorola DROID (nicknamed the T2 or Terminator). And as we told you last month, Nvidia's CEO, Jen-Hsun Huang admitted that Motorola is a big customer of his company.
Motorola is said to have issued extremely strict non-disclosure agreements related to this phone. Andy Wuebberling, product Marketing Director of mobile products at Nvidia, said, "Yes, we are working with Motorola. If you have questions, please check with Motorola, as we’re under NDA."
The device is expected to become the flagship model of the new Android Gingerbread OS build. The latest speculation is that the Motorola DROID T2 will be made available to multiple carriers, similar to how Samsung distributed the Galaxy S model. And if Verizon decides to make it the first LTE device for the carrier, Big Red could very well be last among the top 4 mobile operators to launch the unit.
If this wasn't going to be something special that could blow away all current handsets, then why the air-tight secrecy and NDA's?
