As expected, T-Mobile has launched today the Motorola CLIQ 2, the sequel to the carrier's first Motorola Android phone. The handset has certainly received a bump in specs. Motorola has increased the size of the display to 3.7 inches with resolution of 480 x 854 pixels which is the same display size and resolution seen on the original Motorola DROID. Perhaps the most impressive increase has been the processor speed which is now clocked at 1GHz. While the camera remains at 5MP with AF, internal storage has doubled to 512MB of RAM and 1.024GB of ROM. Android 2.2 is running the show, right out of the box.
The Motorola CLIQ 2 will cost you $99.99 at T-Mobile with a signed 2 year contract. Without a contract, the phone is priced at $399.99.
