Moto E5 Play Android Go edition coming soon to Europe and Latin America
Motorola has just announced that it's expanding the availability of the Moto E5 Play that's already been released in the United States to other markets. However, the new variant will ship with Android Go on board, not the standard Android 8.0 Oreo pre-installed on the regular model.
Another difference between the two models is the size of the display. The regular Moto E5 Play sports a 5.2-inch HD display, while the Android Go edition comes with a slightly larger 5.3-inch display.
However, since the new Moto E5 Play runs Android Go it would make sense to pack just 1GB RAM, whereas the regular model includes 2GB RAM inside, but we have yet to confirm it. The rest of the phones' specs are similar, including the 8-megapixel main camera, 5-megapixel selfie snapper, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor.
According to Motorola, the Moto E5 Play Android Go edition will go on sale in Europe and Latin America on July 14 for prices starting at €109. In the UK, the prepaid version will be available for £69, while the SIM-only variant will sell for £89. Also, customers will be able to choose between the black and gold colors.
