More images of octa-core powered Alcatel Idol X+ leak, revealing Dual SIM support
Last Sunday, we showed you images of the TCL (Alcatel) Idol X+ handset. While the TCL name is on back of the device, the company does license the Alcatel name which could end up on the final version of the phone in some regions. This would make sense if the handset is considered a sequel to the Alcatel One Touch Idol. The Idol X+ is powered by the MT6592 and if that sounds familiar, well, it should. It is the true octa-core processor made by MediaTek.
Two new close-up images of the phone leaked out and one reveals that the phone supports Dual SIM cards. We can say that because the picture shows a port cover labeled SIM2.
Speculation is that the phone will be branded the TCL Idol X+ in China and the Alcatel Idol X+ elsewhere. We don't expect to see the Idol X+ launched in the U.S., but it should see the light of day in Asia and Europe. If some of the specs from the predecessor model carry through to this one, the TCL/Alcatel Idol X+ could be equipped with a 5 inch 1080 x 1920 screen, 2GB of RAM and a 13MP rear-facing snapper.
