More details about the HP iPAQ hw6900 revealed
There have been rumors going on the net for some time about a Pocket PC phone from HP iPAQ hw6700, which appears to have been re-named iPAQ hw6900. It has also been speculated that the device will be very similar to the hw6500 minus the SDIO, but adding WiFi, more flash memory, and Windows Mobile 5.0. According to an internal specsheet, published by Engadget, the HP iPAQ hw6900 will run Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system, AKU 2.0 version, upgraded for push email support. The handset will also feature:
- 3-inch 65k color TFT touchscreen display
- Bluetooth 1.2
- 1.3 mega pixels camera with LED flash
- GPRS/EDGE high-speed data
- miniSD memory expansion slot
- 128MB flash memory, 64MB RAM
- 416MHz Intel Xscale processor
- GPS receiver
- TomTom navigator software
- 802.11b Wireless LAN support
- IrDA, USB 1.1 port
Reportedly, the iPAQ hw6900 is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2006, but there's no official confirmation of this information.
