Minecraft is getting the largest and most important update since launch
Microsoft has just released the biggest Minecraft update ever. Dubbed the “Better Together Update,” the new content added to the game is available on both desktop and mobile versions of Minecraft starting today.
Moreover, the update introduces the most important change since the release of the game: cross-platform play. The new update creates a universal Minecraft where mobile players get to meet enjoy their gaming sessions together with PC and console players.
The developers also announced that they will make it possible for Minecraft players on any platform to access content on Marketplace and take it with them from one device to another. For example, you can start to play a new Realm on a console and then continue playing on your mobile phone while on the go.
But these are just the core improvements introduced by Microsoft. There are a ton of other new features and tweaks that have been delivered to Minecraft.
In fact, there are so many that we'll only list a few and recommend players to check the full changelog at the source link: new game rules (Show Coordinates, TNT Explodes, Natural Regeneration), in-game host options, new loading screens with tips, new achievements, Realms invite links, parrots, recipe book, ravines, and more.
