Minecraft Pocket Edition scores a major update - lots of new content and features in tow
One of the most popular video games at the moment, Minecraft, has been on Android, iOS, and Windows Phone for a long time now, giving its fans the chance to craft their way to creativity or survival while on the go. Despite being a bit more limited and lacking a set of features, Minecraft Pocket Edition is, in its basics, the same creative game that captured the attention of many a gamer.
Well, a new pretty major update is now rolling out for iOS users, treating them to a whole bushel of new features and content. Update 0.11.0 comes with two-seat boats (finally!), fishing, and most-importantly, skins for the main protagonist. Usually, you play with the Steve skin, but this is no longer compulsory in the new update: you can either buy new skins or manually import skin files.
Additional tools for world creation are also in the refreshed feature list. Players can now jump between survival and creative mode to their heartfelt content, even after they've created their world. Renaming your world and enabling the "day-only" option whenever you desire are also on board. All in all, a feature-packed and much-expected update for Minecraft fans. The 0.11.0 update is currently rolling out for iOS users, with the Android and Windows Phone versions of the game expected to score it soon-ish.
