Mid-range Meizu M5S to appear in China with metal body and octa-core processor
Chinese mobile brand Meizu is at work preparing a new mid-range handset, the Meizu M5S. Leaked photographs show a rather typical-looking handset with a Home button and a metal body. To be available in silver gray, gold, and rose gold, the M5S comes with a 5.2-inch, 720p resolution screen and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek chipset with up to 4GB of RAM memory and up to 64GB of storage. It also features a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front cam. The handset is powered by a 2930mAh battery and weighs 4.86oz (138 grams).
The Meizu M5S has been cleared for release in China, but its price and potential availability outside the country are yet to be made public.
At the very end of November, Meizu unveiled its current flagship smartphone, the Pro 6 Plus. The brand is currently working on a successor to it, the Meizu Pro 7. The handset might sport a dual-edge curved screen, similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge.
