Microsoft Office apps for iPad now allow you to buy monthly Office 365 subscriptions
Making things a little easier for Apple iPad owners using any of the Microsoft Office apps, in-app purchases of Office 365 can now be made on a monthly basis. Previously, iPad users who downloaded Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, had to pay $99.99 for an annual subscription to Office 365 Home. Now, a monthly subscription for 365 Personal and 365 Home can be purchased for $6.99 and $9.99, respectively.
The 365 Personal subscription allows one individual user to start a new document and edit an existing one. The 365 Home subscription allows up to five computers and five tablets in one household, to perform the same tasks using the Microsoft Office apps.
While the apps for Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint for the iPad are free from the App Store, these limit users to viewing and presenting already opened documents. The in-app purchasers of Microsoft Office 365 are necessary for those who expect to do more with the Microsoft Office suite on their Apple iPad.
