Microsoft Lumia 640 and Microsoft Lumia 640XL to hit AT&T later this month?
While June is almost half over already, the second half of the month promises to be better for AT&T subscribers looking for some new Windows Phone models. The Microsoft Lumia 640 and the Microsoft Lumia 640 XL are going to be offered by AT&T sometime later this month. The information reportedly comes from a Lumia rep who spoke to WinSuperSite.

According to the rep, the Lumia 640 is expected to be released first, perhaps as soon as next week. It is expected to be priced in a range of $100 to $150.The Lumia 640 XL will then be outed by the end of this monthwearing a $200 to $250 price tag.

The Lumia 640 is already available from Cricket, priced at $129.99. T-Mobile is expected to have the phone available on June 17th. The handset comes with a 5-inch screen carrying a 720 x 1280 resolution. That works out to a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood you'll find the Snapdragon 400 chipset which features a quad-core 1.2GHz CPU and the Adreno 305 GPU. 1GB of RAM is inside along with 8GB of native storage. Those requiring additional storage can employ the 128GB capacity microSD slot that comes with the device. On back is an 8MP camera with a .9MP snapper in front. The whole shebang is powered by a 2500mAh battery.

The Lumia 640 XL has basically the same specs as its smaller siblingexcept for its larger 5.7-inch screen. With the same 720 x 1280 resolution, the pixel density of the device drops to 259ppi. The rear camera gets a bump to 13MPand the front-facing camera weighs in at 5MP. A larger 3000mAh battery is under the hood.

If you're an AT&T subscriber hankering for something new for the Windows Phone platform, you should have two new models to choose from before July arrives.
