Microsoft Lumia 435 is U.S. bound
The first sub 5xx Lumia model is on the way to the U.S. Microsoft's stateside website now shows the Microsoft Lumia 435. This is expected to be an extremely affordable smartphone priced at less than $80 off contract. Of course, a handset at that price is not going to come with all of the bells and whistles, although it will come with the usual Windows Phone smoothness, Windows Phone 8.1 and Cortana.
The Microsoft Lumia 435 features a 4-inch screen with a 480 x 800 resolution and a pixel density of 233ppi. Powering the phone is a dual-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 200 CPU with the Adreno 302 GPU crunching the graphics. 1GB of RAM is on board (surprising those who expected 512MB of the sweet stuff) and there is 8GB of native storage included. Most likely you will need additional memory, and the Lumia 435 comes with a 128GB capacity microSD slot.

The Microsoft Lumia 435 is not for those who treasure the photographs they take from their phone. The rear camera is 2MP with an aperture of f/2.7. The front-facing camera is .3MP and a 1560mAh battery keeps the lights on. This makes a great first smartphone for those looking to leave the world of featurephones. Parents looking to buy their young child a smartphone might find this model to be a good choice.
