Mickey Mouse & friends can now access Sprint 4G in Orlando
Mickey Mouse and friends are surely going to be celebrating tonight at the big castle now that Sprint has finally gone live with its next generation 4G service in Orlando, FL. Starting today, customers in the popular vacation destination can experience the faster upload and download speeds with Sprint's 4G network. Plus, existing HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G owners can now make use of that additional $10/month they're being charged for their premium data service.
Of course Sprint couldn't help but mention something related to Disney in their press release. Well, if you can't get enough of Disney while you're in Orlando, Spring 4G users can watch Disney shows on Sprint TV through their 4G enabled handsets. Matt Carter, president of Sprint 4G said, “Orlando is the third city in Florida to receive 4G service. We are continuing to deliver on our commitment to serve our customers by rolling out 4G in more cities in 2010. Customers in Florida are hungry for the power and speed that 4G provides and today they have it.”
