Specs leak for the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s along with a new image of the phone
Last year, Xiaomi released the Mi Mix 2, the sequel to its original near bezel-less model, the Mi Mix. Last month, we told you that the manufacturer could release a revised version of the Mi Mix 2 at MWC. Called the Mi Mix 2s, specs for the handset were just discovered on China's microblogging site weibo. According to the leak, the phone will feature a four-sided ceramic unibody with a 5.99-inch full-screen display.
The Snapdragon 845 mobile platform is under the hood, carrying an octa-core CPU with a 2.8GHz clock speed. The Adreno 630 GPU is also on board. The Mi Mix 2s will feature 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM along with 256GB of high speed UFS storage. The dual-cameras on back both weigh in at 12MP, and offer optical zoom. The device will have global 4G LTE bands and is said to be equipped with an under display fingerprint scanner.
Will this be the handset that Xiaomi uses to break into the U.S. market? We will know much more later this month when the MWC trade show opens in Barcelona on February 26th.

A promotional teaser for the Mi Mix 2s was recently discovered, and it showed a render of the device. Thanks to that image, we can see that instead of a full notch at the top of the screen, the front-facing camera is taking up a very small part of the display in the upper right corner. The bezels appear to be thinner than those on the Mi Mix 2.
