MetroPCS will officially sell iPhones, including the iPhone SE for $50 off
T-Mobile today announced that MetroPCS, its prepaid brand, will soon start selling Apple iPhones. While this isn't breaking news by any means, it's definitely worth noting that MetroPCS will offer two iPhone models at discounted prices: the iPhone SE will be available for $349 ($50 less than the price asked by Apple and all other carriers - including T-Mobile), while the iPhone 5s will cost just $199. Sure enough, the iPhone 5s is an almost-3-year old device that's been discontinued by Apple in March, but it can still be a solid option if you're in need of a very compact handset, and don't want to pay $349 for the newer iPhone SE.
Yes, and in addition to the iPhone SE and iPhone 5s, MetroPCS will sell the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. These will be available starting at $649 and $749, respectively (no price cuts here).
For the beginning (starting July 1), MetroPCS will sell iPhones only in Florida, with nationwide availability to follow "soon."
MetroPCS currently offers unlimited monthly plans starting at $30 (no contract required), and covers most of the US - thanks to the fact that it uses T-Mobile's nationwide network. So, is anyone here thinking of buying an iPhone from MetroPCS?
