MetroPCS gets in on the Samsung Freeform
It's not to say that flip phones should be all that's supposed to be offered by prepaid wireless carriers – we've seen how many more people are beginning to gravitate towards them partly due to the budgeted value they offer. QWERTY handsets are becoming all the rage as we see MetroPCS continuing its efforts with the Samsung Freeform – the same exact one that was offered by Alltel late last year. Pretty much everything found on the Alltel version remains intact for customers on the no-contract carrier – it features a 2.2” display with a resolution of 176 x 144 pixels, 1.3-megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, and microSD support for cards up to 16GB in capacity. Say what you may about this handset, but it's more than surely enough to suffice the needs of customers looking to get by with something that keeps the text messenger in mind. As far as pricing goes, MetroPCS has it going for $79.99 through their web site – tempting enough to keep your eyes away from those postpaid ones.
