Metro by T-Mobile launches Coolpad “flagship” smartphone priced under $150
Metro by T-Mobile and Coolpad have just announced the launch of “flagship” smartphone that costs less than $150. It's hard to believe that a freshly released flagship smartphone costs $400 or $500, let alone less than $150, hence the quotation marks.
The truth is the new Coolpad Legacy is now available for purchase at Metro by T-Mobile for just $130. Although it's not truly a flagship smartphone, as the company suggests, it does offer some great features for the price you pay.
First off, it's powered by a huge 4,000 mAh battery and boasts a massive 6.36-inch display with FullHD+ resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The back side accommodates a dual camera (16MP+5MP), but there's also a secondary 13-megapixel camera in the front, which will allow you to take great selfies.
One of the many things that tells us this isn't really a flagship smartphone is the chipset that powers the phone. Coolpad Legacy is equipped with low-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor, which is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory (expandable up to 128GB).
Last but not least, the Legacy ships with Android 9.0 Pie on board and features Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology so that your battery will charge up faster.
Now, the Legacy might not be a high-end device, but Coolpad may be right when it says that this is its flagship smartphone, meaning that it's the best device they have launched to date.
